Crash Site is a location in Scrap Mechanic.

The Crash Site is where players start a new game in Survival Mode. It contains the Crashed Maintenance Ship and a partially destroyed Ruin from the Ship's impact. The Crash Site always has a consistent layout no matter what other features may be generated on the world map.
Features[ | ]
- Across from the ship, there is an area that contains a pond and a shed with basic Farming supplies.
- The Crash Site is the only location other than Burned Forests where Ember can be obtained.
- There is always a Ruin directly to the north, south, east, and west of the Crash Site. The one directly north of the ship contains the Master Battery that the Mechanic needs to retrieve in order to reactivate the ship's Mini Craftbot and gain access to the Logbook. The other Ruins contain resources that the Mechanic can use to build their first vehicle.
- Some of these Ruins contain loose Scrap Metal, including an additional one further to the north.
- To the north of the Crash Site, there is a road that connects to the nearest Mechanic Station to the northeast.
