It is not really an issue but it would make it a lot nicer to play when you are in the driver seat that you can push buttons while driving Dpnatty (talk) 15:19, 22 January 2016 (UTC)

In case you aren't aware by now (this is almost a month later), you can connect buttons to the Driver's Seat with the Connection Tool. They will appear in the hotbar, and can be activated by pressing the number key that corresponds to the slot. This isn't the place for suggestions, by the way. Also, please make a new section when starting a new topic. I added one for you this time. BoxFigs (talk) 00:35, 20 February 2016 (UTC)

Suggestion[]

Uhh, I'm probably doing this wrong, but some of the interactives - thruster and driver seat for sure - change their stats as you upgrade them and with the thruster its obviously a big deal if you were to use two unbalanced thrusters. Maybe a stat block for each upgrade? I'm not really sure of the best way to display that. Maybe down by the upgrades? Also, having done some work on buoyancy and weight I'm finding the numbers arent straight forward. 1+2 isnt exactly 3. maybe a page on weights and measures would be wise? Right now I'm working on a scale to do the hard work because I haven't seen anybody actually do the testing so far, not that they haven't, but I haven't seen it. -Actua

--Update Jul 29,2020-- From here on I will refer to the yellow dots denoting effect strength as blips. Between adjacent blips the difference appears to be minuscule, but when I tried to weight 5 five of the 9-blip concrete-3 blocks the equivalent weight in 1-blip bubble blocks was 90 which is double expected if the weight was explicitly based on blip value in a standard linear fashion. Perhaps its exponential? Logarithmic? Also, exact balance is visually observed. It may be that weight per blip should be double its rated value at 10 blips and my tests are not fine enough at this point. Further testing will be carried out. -Actua

Template:Infobox gear suggestion[]

  • Add friction attribute
  • Add buoyancy attribute
  • Add flammable attribute EV3R4 (talk) 13:51, 8 May 2020 (UTC)
I was planning on doing that when you made that comment, and now it's done. BoxFigs (talk) 00:09, 10 May 2020 (UTC)

SMIconExtractor[]

Hello, I wrote a tool that can extract icons from Scrap Mechanic and i want to make it more public in this wiki but what i don't want is just editing a wiki page and saying use my tool. EV3R4 (talk) 16:33, 10 May 2020 (UTC)

Suggestion[]

A lot of icons, particularly in the homepage still use the pre 0.4.0 appearance. I think this makes the Wiki look out of date and may discourage players from using it if they don't believe it's an up-to-date source.
