Block weights

I would like to know why not specified the exact weight of the blocks? I noticed that some of the light blocks lighter than other light blocks, and some heavy - heavier. So the lightest block, I think, "Barrier Block", and the most heavy - "Metal Block" (if I am not mistaken, even the "Metal Column" lighter than a "Metal Block").
